Emergency & Disaster
Risk Reduction

We believe that people affected by natural and human induced disasters have the right to life with dignity and therefore the right to assistance. We are committed and equipped to respond to disasters to alleviate the suffering of affected communities.

We strive to reduce future vulnerabilities to disasters with particular focus on building upon existing local capacities.

Outreach Assistance to Humanity (OATH) joined Pakistan Partnership Initiative (PPI) in their FRRR (2022-Floods Rapid Relief Response) Project to provide immediate financial aid to flood affected families. OATH was tasked with identifying 170 of the most flood affected families in the most flood affected regions of KPK (Swat, Tank, D.I. Khan, Nowshera, Charsadda) and providing them with Cash Grants to help repair their houses, business, and lives.

Flood Emergency
Relief 2022

The 2022 floods devastated several regions of Pakistan. With the most venerable member of society facing the worst damage. Poverty stricken families, minority groups, and women led households suffered just as much loss as others, but had a much harder time trying to recover. Without support from external sources, these families will struggle to go back to their old lives.

Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported a total of 30 districts affected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Of these 30 districts in KPK, 13 were the most affected with 286 (132 Males, 79 Females, and 129 Children) confirmed deaths. A little over 80 thousand houses were damaged by the floods and the accompanying landslides.
