Flood Emergency
Relief 2022
The 2022 floods devastated several regions of Pakistan. With the most venerable member of society facing the worst damage. Poverty stricken families, minority groups, and women led households suffered just as much loss as others, but had a much harder time trying to recover. Without support from external sources, these families will struggle to go back to their old lives.
Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reported a total of 30 districts affected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Of these 30 districts in KPK, 13 were the most affected with 286 (132 Males, 79 Females, and 129 Children) confirmed deaths. A little over 80 thousand houses were damaged by the floods and the accompanying landslides.
